May 11 Mother's Day

Dandelion Tea Party

10am – 12pm

Join us for a delightful celebration where children can embark on a journey through the enchanting world of dandelions. During the workshop, children learn how to safely forage for dandelions and we will be making dandelion tea for our tea bar complete with dandelion shortbread cookies to enjoy with our moms! Our young participants will unleash their creativity with dandelion playdough, sculpting imaginative creations inspired by nature’s own artwork. Additionally, they’ll have the chance to express their love and appreciation for their moms by crafting heartfelt Mother’s Day cards using dandelion flowers as paint brushes, infusing each stroke with love and gratitude. As a special takeaway, each child will receive a dandelion color and activity book, filled with engaging puzzles, coloring pages, and fascinating facts about dandelions, ensuring the fun continues long after the workshop ends.

June 15 Father's Day

Herbal Grillin' Salts for Dad

10am – 12pm

Get ready to spice up Father’s Day with a hands-on culinary adventure that’s perfect for little chefs. In this workshop, children will become herbal mixologists as they create four unique grillin’ salts using fragrant and flavorful herbs: rosemary, sage, parsley, and oregano. Under the guidance of our Certified Herbalist, each child will package their grillin’ salts in adorable shaker bottles, ready to be gifted to Dad in a convenient zippered bag. These homemade treats will add a burst of flavor to his favorite grilled dishes, making Father’s Day celebrations extra special. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Kids will also have the opportunity to tap into their creativity by designing personalized Father’s Day cards, complete with heartfelt messages and colorful illustrations. As an added bonus, each child will receive a recipe book featuring mouth watering grillin’ recipes and the health benefits of each herb, empowering them to continue their herbal culinary adventures at home.

Lavender Fest

10am – 12pm

At our Lavender Fest workshop, kids will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on activities that celebrate the beauty and versatility of lavender. At the lavender playdough station, kids will mold and shape fragrant lavender-infused playdough, stimulating their senses and fostering creativity. They’ll dive into a lavender water table, where they can splash and play, exploring the calming effects of this beloved herb. Children will also get the chance to create their own lavender sachets, learning about the traditional uses of lavender in aromatherapy and home care. As a special takeaway, each child will receive a lavender color and activity book, filled with engaging puzzles, coloring pages, and fun facts about lavender. This educational resource will continue to inspire and entertain long after the workshop ends.

Bug Hotel Making Workshop

10am – 12pm

Embark on a fascinating adventure into the world of bugs and biodiversity at our Bug Hotel Workshop, where children will become architects of nature as they construct their very own bug hotels. Our workshop begins with a guided nature walk on our lush property, where kids will explore the wonders of the natural world and search for an array of materials to build their bug hotels. From sturdy sticks to fragrant pine cones, soft moss, vibrant leaves, and textured bark, children will collect a treasure trove of natural materials to create inviting habitats for their insect friends. Back at our workshop space, kids will roll up their sleeves and dive into the creative process, using their gathered materials to design and assemble bug hotel to take home. As they build, they’ll learn about the importance of providing shelter and habitat for beneficial insects like bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and more. Each child will have the opportunity to personalize their bug hotel, adding special touches and decorations to make it uniquely their own. Once complete, they’ll proudly take their bug hotels home, ready to welcome a diverse array of garden guests.
